the linen series

Art has a tremendous transformative potential through which room for collective learning and understanding can be created. I understand dialogue as a crucial factor for social cohesion, especially in such polarized times. Art pieces can be home for collective values, with the power to be both a mirror and bridge for divided societies. I explore this potential through my linen series.

The linen series are products of spontaneous and intuitive work-flows, only influenced by daily experience and impressions. They do not allow me to overthink the process or the composition. That is also why it allows for enough room for interpretation.

These are usually the pieces that grow up without a name that predetermines its purpose and value – waiting to be socialized through its surroundings - collectively. It has thus the ability to hold space for shared or divided perspectives and hereby to curate a room for dialogue.
